Dignity, de nieuwe band van ex-Edenbridge drummer Roland Navratil, doet iets wat zijn vorige band niet kon: mij een hele plaat blijven boeien. Samen met keyboardist Frank Pitters componeerde de Oostenrijker acht sterke nummers die de brug slaan tussen melodic hard rock genre Europe en power metal type Hammerfall. Als extraatje covert Dignity Chris de Burghs “Don’t Pay The Ferryman”, alsof het een nummer uit hun eigen repertoire betreft. En als je weet dat er met Jake E. nog een zeer getalenteerde zanger achter de micro staat, kan je enkel besluiten dat Navratil de juiste carrièrewending verkoos. (DD) GOUD (6/7)

Dignity, the new band of ex-Edenbridge drummer Roland Navratil, does something his former band couldn’t: hold my attention for the entire album. Together with keyboardist Frank Pitters, the Austrian composed eight strong songs which close the gap between melodic hard rock type Europe and power metal in the vain of Hammerfall. As a nice bonus, Dignity covers Chris DeBurghs “Don’t Pay The Ferryman”, as if it is one of their own songs. And if you know that they have a very talented singer behind the mic in the person of Jake E., you can only conclude that Navratil chose the right career change. GOLD (6/7) (Denny Drossaert)
