Phil joins DIGNITY

Hi folks,

after Martin decided to quit DIGNITY last year, we were searching for a new and skilled guitar player. We are really happy to announce that we found him in Phillip Porter, a fantastic guitar player from Vienna.

Phillips influences reach from John Petrucci to Mike Romeo. He is also active in the progressive band SIRENS CRY where he writes most of the music.

Read his statement:

When I first met Frank and Roland from Dignity I was positively touched by their charisma. I have met a few people on my way so far and we got on very well from the start. I first was introduced to Dignitys music by Roland whom I had a closer eye on as I was looking for a drummer at that time. He showed me what he was doing with Dignity and the stuff was great so without a doubt I was into it. Last summer I had the chance to work closely with Frank in the Studio and so I got to know him better and then things just fell into place.

I like Dignity since the music combines strong rhythmical elements with melody which I find great. When I started to listen to metal – quite some time ago - it was the same mixture that grabbed hold of me and has not let go of me ever since. When I heard the entire Album Project Destiny I was blown away! Until then I have not met or heard an Austrian Metal Band of the same quality and professionalism. I am very happy for the chance and I will rise up to the challenge and together I am sure we will rock you as hard as hell!

Its great to have you on bord Phil. Hang out for new updates in a few days!

Keep on rockin

Roland joins Leaves Eyes and Atrocity

Hi everyone,

a few weeks ago our Drummer Roland got the chance to join the german bands LEAVES EYES and ATROCITY.

Here is the statement of the band:

Yesterday the kick off show of the European tour of LEAVES EYES together with KAMELOT and ADAGIO took place in Charleroi, Belgium. This was also the live debut of the new LEAVES EYES and drummer Roland Navratil. Roland joined LEAVES EYES and also ATROCITY after the bands decided to continue without former drummer Seven Antonopoulos. Both bands wish Seven all the best for the future, and welcomes the Austrian drummer Roland Navratil, who played in the past with bands like EDENBRIDGE,SIRENIA and DIGNITY!Roland: First of all I like the diversity of both bands, ATROCITY and LEAVES EYES. I listen to a lot of different music and was blown away by the Werk 80 CD of ATROCITY. So called Female fronted Metal bands where always a favorite kind of music of myself, too. Thats why I know a lot about Liv and her music and the band LEAVES EYES. I love to play songs like Elegy, Emerald Island or the new smasher At Heavens End! The first time I met Alex was years ago when Atrocity played in Vienna. I met them and Liv again back in 2005 when I was playing in Germany. As I was on the Beauty and the Beast Tour as a session drummer for SIRENIA, it was very cool to tour with both bands, ATROCITY and LEAVES EYES. I was excited as they asked me, if I would like to play with them because we had a lot of fun on tour last fall. The rehearsals went great and now I am looking forward to share the stages together! Keep on rockin! See you on tour !

Despite this, our plan is to join the studio with DIGNITY in April. We keep you updated soon!
Keep on rockin

News News News

Hi everybody,

long time no see...or however. The last couple of months and weeks have been very quiet among DIGNITY but there happened a lot of things.

Lets start with the bad news first:

Our Guitarist Martin decided to leave the band after his vacancies in Spain. He now wants to concentrate totally on his passion Flamenco. As he told us, the decision was not very easy because Heavy Metal was very important in his life. But now Flamenco dominates his life and he was fair enough to let us know before DIGNITY concentrates on new things. Martin was very important for the sound of DIGNITY. He is a fantastic musician and a sympathy, funny and extreme handsome guy. We wish him the best we can and a lot of fun on his future way.

At the moment we are searching for worthy follower and we think that we can present someone in the near future.

Also our plans for the upcoming album are very advanced. We are still writing songs and want to enter the studio in January to create a new Masterpiece.....or if not, only a new album! The songs have the typical DIGNITY trademarks but still contain some surprises. But more we cant reveal.

More News concerning the new album will come now constantly. As soon we enter the studio we will post a studio Blog.

So keep on rocking

Hi Folks.

We are very sorry to announce the cancellation of our show at the "One Night Of Power" festival in Vienna.
The reason is the bronchitis of Jake E., so it is impossible to sing for him.
We hoped untill now that we are able to play the show but unfortunately we have to say that we can´t.

We hope to make goos for the show as soon as posible and hope to see you at the "Hell over Vellach" festival in Carinthia.

Rock on,

Ask Dignity

Hey everyone,

As you all know is that we have a new fansite and a fanforum. Matt, the webamaster had a cool idea to start a band poll. Here it is:

We are sure you read all the old interviews countless times already, right? Have you ever wished to ask Dignity a specific question? Well, now is your chance! Here is the deal: You can leave your questions for us at the DIGNITY Fanforum, and at the end of the month, Matt will be sending your questions (be original!) straight to the band, and Matt will be posting the full interview on the website as soon as possible!

It is your chance to ask the band some original questions that were never asked before. Do you have any questions about the first record, about the band in general, or about... the upcoming album? Well, head to the forum and leave them there! Just go to the Fanforum. If you are experiencing any difficulties, you can also send them to askdignity@dignityfans.com
